tournament rules

army roster

You need to bring a 2000pts battle-forged army list.

You do not need to send your list in advanced, but you should bring a copy of it with you to avoid misunderstandings and help your opponent if he has any questions.

Apps like GW’s and New Recruit are perfect for this. As we do not want people to be caught off-guard by a possible balance update during the month, there will be a rules cut-off on Friday September 12th. Any changes and updates beyond that point will be ignored.

It is a narrative event, and the focus will be on having fun with your opponent. Do not hesitate to bring that strange list you’ve always wanted to try!

september balance dataslate

We will be using the new balance dataslate released on September 12. Please visit this link to get up to date and build your list accordingly.

models & proxies

Since we firmly believe that painted models have better aim, it is recommended that your army is painted to a battle-ready standard. However, no points will be removed for having gray marines, and no points will be awarded for a painted army.

Converted and kit-bashed models are also appreciated, as long as they retain the same proportions and have the same base size. You will not need to submit your creations for approval before the event.

As you build your list, try to be as WYSIWYG as possible to prevent confusion. In case your models are not, try to have a way to show what they are and what war gear they possess.

terrain

All battlefields will be pre-made by the staff. You will not need to rearrange terrain features before your games.

Objective markers will be available, but it is always a good idea to bring your own.

We will be using GW’s terrain rules, as provided in the core rulebook. There will be ruins, but you might come across some less traditional obstacles, like forests and barricades. Familiarize yourself with the rules for smoother games.

Every battlefield will be different, so have a talk with your opponent before the game to clarify what gives cover, lines of sight, etc.

Adapting terrains with fun ideas is up to you, as long as both players agree!

missions

We will be using the 2025-2026 mission pack for primary and secondary objectives, as well as deployments.

Asymmetric missions and deployments will not be used.

Twists will also be left aside, but once you are at your table, if both players want to use them, it is up to you!

Missions will be provided and explained before your games.

ruling

Warhammer is a slightly complicated game, and rules can often be interpreted differently. Do not hesitate to call the TO if you need. It will help your game running smoothly, and if we need to dig deeper for an answer, we will do it for you while you keep playing.

Keep in mind that the TO always has the final word.

scoring

We will be using WTC scoring for the event (20-0).

The use of the Tabletop Battles app is recommended to keep track of everything.

There will be special ways to gain score, and they will be explained to you prior to your games.

Scoresheets will be provided and explained before your games.

schedule

You will be playing 4 games, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.

You will have plenty of time to eat, relax, participate in workshops and even play small casual games between official ones.

Pairing will be announced before the game starts.

Since there will be briefings before every scenario, you will be required to be there 15 minutes before game time. If not, you might miss important information.

Keep in mind that due to the narrative aspect of the event, it is also strongly suggested that you stay with the other players a bit on Saturday night to discuss amongst yourselves.

Please visit the Schedule section for more info.

lunches

Lunches are included in your tickets on both days. They will be served from 11:30 to 13:00. Vegetarian options are available.

language

You might be paired with someone who speaks only French or only English. If this causes a problem, quickly tell the TO so we can make adjustments.

final word

We dedicated ourselves to creating a fun, friendly, and above all, unique event for you to enjoy.

It is a narrative tournament. Therefore, random events will happen, weird twists will strike you, and stories will be told, some of which will push the storyline in unexpected directions. We had a blast last year, and we aim to achieve the same goal this year!
